Molly: Oklahoma, United States; Welcome to my Oklahoma gardening blog! Now that I have five years of Oklahoma gardening under my belt, I think I'd like to share some of what I've learned with others. I live on a lovely 5 acre place just outside of Blanchard, Oklahoma, which is south of Oklahoma City about 20 miles. I am an avid perennial gardener and self-taught garden designer. Growing up on a farm in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, I developed a lifelong love of horticulture and an interest in creating beautiful spaces for people to enjoy nature. I got started designing gardens after I bought a stack of 'Fine Gardening' magazines at a church garage sale. I read and re-read every page and then bought my own subscription. Gardening became a passion of mine: I have created a garden at every home I've lived in from central Iowa, eastern Nebraska, to south-central Minnesota, and now central Oklahoma.
